In September, I moved from Southern California, where I&#8217;d spent the last 15 years of my life, to a mid-size town in Washington state, just a few miles south of the Canadian border. I went from hot, dry, and flashy, to cool, damp, and quiet.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.joiweaver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_4017.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-99\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-99\" src=\"http:\/\/www.joiweaver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_4017-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4017\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.joiweaver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_4017-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.joiweaver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_4017-768x576.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.joiweaver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_4017-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I couldn&#8217;t love it more.<\/p>\n<p>However, the move and associated life circumstances put my writing on hold for a while. But I&#8217;m back and ready to rumble! Here&#8217;s what&#8217;s currently going on now:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1: New books. They are in progress! My most recent story, Titan Rising, is out to readers right now and I am awaiting feedback for the next draft. In the meantime, I&#8217;m working on finishing a story from 2013, Europa Passage.<\/p>\n<p>2: Other writing! Most of my non-fiction writing has been going up on my blog, but I&#8217;m going to republish some of it here. It&#8217;s time to centralize everything.<\/p>\n<p>3: Bookmark contest. Due to the move, this got shelved, BUT. I want people to have cool bookmarks. Drop me an email with your address, and I&#8217;ll send you some, even if you didn&#8217;t officially enter the contest.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s all for now.
